Our Newsletter

The fourth annual San Francisco Writers Conference was better than ever with another sold-out conference and a stellar cast of presenters, agents and editors. For three full days, attendees learned about improving their craft, marketing their work, discovering time-proven writing secrets and exploring the newest technology for publishing professionals. Plus, it was a lot of fun.
With everything from forensics details by D.P. Lyle and advice on plot from Martha Alderson, to changing bad habits with M.J. Ryan, writing award-winning children's books from Gennifer Choldenko and the Way of the Peaceful Warrior by Dan Millman, there was truly something for everyone.
Po Bronson gave us words of wisdom on Friday night. Firoozeh Dumas was as funny in English as she was in Farsi as the Saturday keynoter. And NY Times Best-selling author, Debbie Macomber, ended the conference by inspiring everyone with the story of her climb to fame.
Cody's ran an excellent conference book store. The Mark Hopkins continued to offer an exquisite site for our conference. And Elizabeth Pomada and Michael Larsen proved once again that good hosts are invaluable.
